I want to get into playing the bass, I’ve never felt this way about an instrument. I was wondering what price range should I be expecting. I want to try to convince my father to spot me some of the cash, so it can’t be too expensive. I just need a half decent bass guitar, nothing flashy, something I can learn on.
Pretty soon I will be getting a new bass guitar that is relatively expensive. Ive read that humidity, weather, and the way you store it can have an affect on it possibly warping the wood and such. What should I do about this? How can i properly care for my bass? I live in New York City so I guess the weather isn’t too crazy here.

A friend of mine has just bought a bass guitar, but he has trouble connecting it to his computer – he has a 5.1 system, he’s checked everything, but no sound comes out. However, everything was OK when he connected it to another computer, with 2 stereo speakers.
